At Tinies Bath & Wiltshire, we aim to understand the needs of everyone involved in the childcare process - parents, nurseries, companies and childcarers alike and provide them with a personal, professional and efficient service.
We interview all our childcarers face to face and ensure that at least two references are verified verbally as well as undertaking checks with the Criminal Records Bureau.
Our services
Nanny and mother's help supply: At Bath and Wilts we can meet both your temporary and permanent childcare needs. If you have a short term need for childcare, perhaps to help through a period of convalescence or upon the arrival of a new born baby or to join you on holiday, please call and we will do our best to help. If you need permanent childcare we will be happy to advise and assist on the whole process from selection to employment. We have a large database of candidates already registered and looking for work as well as potential candidates responding to the jobs advertised on the website. At Tinies there is no fee for registration, only upon placement.

Nursery supply: We deal with the temporary and permanent supply of nursery staff. We have both qualified and unqualified candidates to help out at short notice with any sudden staff shortages for whatever reason, e.g. sick leave or holiday cover. We are also able to help with the recruitment of permanent nursery staff from assistant to manager. Please contact the branch for more details of our service and a copy of our competitive rates.
Babysitting: We are here to service babysitting requests whether it is a regular or single arrangement including babysitters for those special occasions such as a wedding or party.

Our Consultants
Managing Consultant, Kate Smail: In 1994, having studied law and had a year out to travel, Kate moved to Newbury, Berkshire where she worked as a solicitor for the same firm for some 12 years specialising in personal injury work. In 2003 she moved to Haxton, on the edge of Salisbury Plain. She enjoyed a successful legal career, being involved in the development of an Industrial Disease Unit. As a mother of two, she knows what it is like to juggle the demands of your family with a career and the importance of having the right childcare. Following the birth of her second baby, these factors led Kate to explore alternative career options which naturally led to Tinies and since December 2006 Tinies Bath and Wiltshire has been under her management. Kate says: "I am very proud to be part of the Tinies organisation and aim to provide a top quality service to all clients and candidates."
Penny has recently joined Kate and is working part time. Penny went to Norland College and worked as a nanny in London for 10 years before moving to this area. In her search for work as a nanny she saw a need for a good nanny recruitment business and went to work for a local agency until she had her first child. Now her three children are at school Penny wanted to get back into the workplace and crossed paths with Kate in the school playground which led to her joining Tinies.
